Scarlet Assets Management Company LLC, or SAMCO, LLC is a business organized to assist Rutgers Athletics in maximizing revenue generation. This includes revenue derived through; the sale and client servicing of Multi-Media advertising sponsorships through Rutgers University properties and assets; the sale and client servicing of Naming Rights sponsorships of Rutgers University venues; Name Images and Likeness (NIL), season tickets, premium ticket sales, groups and individual ticket sales to Athletic and Non-Athletics sponsored events; and any incremental revenue opportunities that utilize Rutgers University assets.

The Content Creator, R NIL, is primarily responsible for providing creative collateral both graphic and video, and insight for all local, regional, and national creative brand partnerships for Name, Image, and Likeness within R NIL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produces content for Rutgers & R NIL student athletes as a part of NIL brand deals, aligning with overall Rutgers Athletics brand strategy
  • Assists Rutgers & R NIL student athletes on brand development with the use of Rutgers marks
  • Provides photography and videography to student athletes, brands, and athletic department, as well as designs and develops graphics for social media accounts and deliverables for NIL partnerships
  • Lead the design efforts for a broad range of projects related to or in support of NIL efforts for brand visibility for student athlete and partner
  • Create visual storytelling through animated graphics and video content including interviews, employee and customer stories, and various presentation and social needs.
  • Involvement in concept development and ideating brand activations across internal and external campaigns. Collaboration, strategic thinking, and brand consistency are central to the position
  • Act as project facilitator from conception through deployment by managing design resources and communicating creative logistics to meet deadlines with successful delivery.
  • Adhere to all identity guidelines for all creative initiatives in a consistent manner.
  • Make timely and informed decisions to keep projects on track within specifications, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Capture images of all assets to create fulfillment documents to be presented to all partners at the end of each sales year.
  • Stay current on design trends.
  • Maintain flexible work hours, including events that may occur on weeknights or weekends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Photography, Graphic Design, Media or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design is a plus but not required.
  • Photography skills are a plus but not required. Must have an understanding of how to use a camera for fulfillment aspects.
  • Advanced knowledge of graphic, motion design, photography, and video editing/production (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
  • Ability to quickly switch gears and multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, turnaround work quickly, and adapt in real-time Motion Graphics experience is a plus.
  • Prefer previous experience in the sports industry and ideally in college athletics (Internships count)
  • Prefer previous experience working with a sales and fulfillment team
  • Proven ability to collaborate with other content creators and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work on both PC and Mac platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work events periodically for business purposes and to work beyond normal work hours as department workflow necessitates.
