Reports to the Senior Director Podcasting Content, the Lead Producer is responsible for managing the development, production, and delivery of podcast content across the Ministry’s network. This role collaborates cross‑functionally to shape content, ensure production excellence, and uphold the brand’s creative and editorial standards. The Producer balances hands‑on production with workflow coordination and content strategy to support the growth and mission of each podcast.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively influence our culture by demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the Ministry. Consistently represent the Ministry with integrity through actions, words, and behavior that supports and aligns with our Mission and Values.
  • Demonstrate the qualities of a life‑time learner in the disciplines relevant to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training.
  • Actively participate and contribute to Ministry‑wide initiatives and projects like Gratitude Fest, Daily Prayer, All Team Meetings, All Team Celebrations, Team Member Celebration Service, Summits, Service Projects, and others as announced.
  • Support and contribute to Ministry endeavors by following employment policies and practices and supporting a safe and healthy work environment. Specifically, follow K‑LOVE’s Injury Prevention and Safety program, support and maintain safety standards, and participate in safety training.
  • Develop podcast formats, season arcs, and episode structures that reflect the Ministry’s voice and vision.
  • Guide hosts and contributors on tone, pacing, and storytelling structure.
  • Oversee recording sessions and provide coverage for associate producers when necessary.
  • Operate and review audio using editing platforms such as Pro Tools or Adobe Audition to ensure technical quality and alignment with creative vision.
  • Set up, support, or troubleshoot studio and remote recording systems when needed to ensure production continuity.
  • Review raw and edited audio for quality assurance, narrative cohesion, and audience impact.
  • Approve final mixes and ensure readiness for publishing across platforms.
  • Draft or review written materials such as episode titles, show notes, and summaries.
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for podcast production needs and team communication.
  • Provide constructive feedback to hosts to enhance delivery and listener engagement.
  • Support implementation of templates, systems, practices.
  • Recommend tools and processes to improve efficiency and production quality.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana, Wrike) to track tasks, timelines, and cross‑functional deliverables.
  • Monitor listener data, downloads, and engagement trends.
  • Translate performance insights into editorial and strategy updates.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to report on podcast outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field required. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in podcast production or audio storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce interview, narrative, or documentary‑style podcast content from development through post‑production.
  • Proficiency in audio editing software such as Pro Tools or Adobe Audition.
  • Familiarity with studio and field recording setups, remote recording tools, and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Strong editorial judgment with experience guiding hosts and shaping audio narratives.
  • Experience coordinating production calendars, timelines, and deliverables using project management tools such as Asana or Wrike.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and communicate clearly with creative, technical, and promotional teams.
  • Experience with branded content, guest booking, or faith‑aligned storytelling; knowledge of biblical principles is a plus (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/Ministry relationships.
