dynamic and imaginative Art Teacher
who is passionate about helping students express their creativity while connecting it to a broader world of science, technology, engineering, and math.
As part of our high school faculty, you’ll design and deliver engaging, college-preparatory instruction that empowers students to think critically, experiment boldly, and see themselves as artists, innovators, and leaders.
What You’ll Do
Design engaging lessons
that inspire creativity and align with the Tennessee State Standards and STEM Prep’s college-prep vision.
Bring art to life
through hands-on, inquiry-based projects that blend technique, self-expression, and interdisciplinary learning.
Collaborate
with teachers across disciplines to create cross-curricular experiences—think art meets science, or design meets technology.
Foster a classroom culture
that celebrates originality, critical thinking, and student voice.
Build relationships
with families and the community to promote student growth and engagement.
Reflect, innovate, and evolve —continually assessing and adapting your teaching to ensure all students thrive.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Art Education or related field preferred).
Valid Tennessee teaching license (or eligibility for one).
Experience working with high school students—especially in diverse, urban environments.
Experience with English Language Learners preferred.
Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes or achieving ambitious goals.
