We are seeking an experienced and reliable Audio Visual Technician (On-Call A1s, V1s, L1s, & Stagehands) to join our team. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audio and visual equipment for various events and functions in a corporate environment. You should have a strong understanding of audio visual technology and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This is an on-call position, meaning that you will be contacted when there is a need for your services.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate audio visual equipment for events and functions, including but not limited to microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, and lighting equipment.

Ensure all audio visual equipment is properly connected and functioning correctly.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during events.

Safely facilitate the movement of equipment (load-in/load-out) from transport vehicles to ballroom/staging areas.

Coordinate with event organizers and presenters to understand their audio visual needs and requirements.

Test and adjust audio visual equipment to ensure clear sound and optimal visual display.

Provide technical support and assistance to event attendees.

Keeping track of supplies and assisting with ordering when necessary.

Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines when setting up and operating audio visual equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or a related role.

Strong knowledge of audio visual technology and equipment within your field.

Strong knowledge of signal flow in the field of audio, video, & lighting (XLR, SDI, DMX).

Proficient in operating audio visual software and applications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

A polished demeanor and proven ability to maintain professional composure while supporting complex, fast-paced corporate events.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of the workflow and service focused corporate audio visual field.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in audio visual technology (CTS) or a related field.

Experience with digital audio, video and lighting consoles (Yamaha, Analogway, Hog4).

Experience in live event production or conference services.

Knowledge of networking and audio visual integration.

Availability to work nights & weekends.
