Design Assistant, Womans Wholesale Apparel - Suiting

Design Assistant, Women's Wholesale Apparel – Suiting The Kasper Group, an apparel industry leader, is seeking an Assistant Designer to manage day-to-day organization and follow up on samples for various private label accounts. The role includes sketching, tech pack creation, and liaison with production.

Base pay range $50,000.00/yr - $58,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Sketching in Illustrator

Spec & tech pack development

Check in and spec prototypes

Hang and steam samples

Liaison with production

File and organize trims, artwork, etc.

Updating linesheets with BOM/material info

Local material sourcing in garment district

Requirements

1-2 year minimum experience

Minimum Associate Degree in Fashion or BA in related science

Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM

Extremely organized and detail oriented

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Team player
