Overview
Rhode Island College’s Film Studies Program is looking to grow its adjunct pool to staff future courses (Spring 2026 and beyond). We seek part-time instructors to teach Introduction to Film, our general education film studies course. Responsibilities
Teach 1 section (4 FLH) of FILM 116: Introduction to Film. Occasional duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Department Chair. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Experience providing instruction on both the stylistic and the cultural dimensions of cinema. Required Qualifications
M.A. in either film studies or media studies. Applicants with an M.A. in cultural studies with a focus on film/media analysis will also be considered. Preferred Qualifications
College teaching experience, knowledge in overlapping, interdisciplinary topics as they relate to cinema studies courses. Environmental Conditions
Teaching/instruction is performed in a smart classroom setting. Application Details
