The Service Writer is responsible for completing all billing and warranty claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Assist the Service and Warranty Manager in estimating, scheduling, and tracking repairs for mobile technicians. Prepare Service Orders for Technicians. Submit and manage all Warranty claims (including mobile and shop service) through completion for all applicable OEMs. Support Parts Department by providing documentation and information as required for repairable/ warranty parts. Maintain a complete history file of all trucks serviced by Ten-8. Collaborate with other departments, such as design and product development, to ensure content is aligned with brand standards and product offerings. Support tracking and parts availability activities for campaigns and recalls. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a service writing role. Able to follow and adhere to company and OEM policies and procedures. Basic technical understanding of heavy trucks and fire apparatus a plus. Strong attention to detail with paperwork and all processing. Must be proficient in using all Microsoft Office applications with a typing speed greater than 55 WPM. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept directions on given assignments. Must be able to manage time, cost, and effort to ensure efficiency. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills. Must have a strong ability to multitask. Must be detail-oriented. Must provide excellent customer service. Strong communication skills are required. WORK ENVIRONMENT
