Position Title: Student Assistant – Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction
Essential Functions
Assist patrons with searching the catalog and Avery Index to find relevant information.
Troubleshoot issues and assist patrons in using the LADC’s equipment and software technology including large-format printers and scanners, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Autodesk.
Promptly address patron questions or concerns about library resources and services and refer questions to the librarian or staff as appropriate.
Responsible opening and closing the library during assigned shifts according to the LADC’s hours of operation.
Assist with maintaining the collection by shelf reading and re-shelving materials.
Check library materials in and out accurately and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled as an Auburn University student.

Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students.
Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Dependability, multi‑tasking, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment are imperative.
Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Pay Rate: $9.00/hour
Work Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, must be available to work LADC operating hours; some shifts are required to work Saturdays & Sundays.
Location: City position – Auburn; State position – Alabama.
