Assistant Graphic Designer & Photographer
The Marissa Collections Assistant Graphic Designer & Photographer provides creative and technical support to the eCommerce, Marketing and Event teams by assisting in the production of digital content, product photography, and branded collateral across all platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in graphic design and photography, a collaborative spirit, and is eager to grow within a dynamic luxury retail environment.
The Marissa Collections Assistant Graphic Designer & Photographer will have a keen understanding of how to use digital tools to photograph products, balance typography, color, and layout to create stellar product images, design marketing materials and advertising campaigns that will be seen in various mediums.
Responsibilities
Photograph products to support site operations product procedure.
Create graphics to place on web landing pages, banners, templates and newsletters.
Understand project requirements and ideas.
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on‑brand.
Maintain quality, consistency, and brand guidelines of all projects.
Resize and edit online images and digital collateral.
Collaborate with team members to launch projects.
Assist with post‑production of product photography.
Maintain project management system and communicate transparency.
Communicate internally among multiple tools to keep the team and yourself in sync and motivated.
Collaborate with teams to identify and correct inaccuracies.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of graphic designer experience, preferably with a luxury brand.
Previous experience in product photography, e‑commerce, marketing, or a relevant fast‑paced environment.
Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite—specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness & passion for continuous improvement and learning in all business areas.
Work well independently, be self‑motivated, and reliable.
Be a dynamic team player, problem solver, and have effective time‑management skills.
Strong follow‑up and follow‑through to ensure all tasks are fully completed.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed for product handling, studio setup, or event preparation.
Ability to stand, walk, or move around for extended periods during events or photo shoots.
Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends if needed.
