Utilize design software to produce detailed, and sometimes complex, drawings and plans for roadway design projects. Apply advanced CAD techniques and tools to enhance drawings. Collaborate with engineers and other designers to incorporate design changes and revisions. Organize CAD files and project documentation and ensure proper version control and distribution of files. Read and interpret construction plans. Assist in the preparation of quantity takeoffs and materials lists. Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations. Perform other duties associated with the role as needed. Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience. 4+ years of relevant experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, preferably as a CAD Technician in roadway/highway design. Strong proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Advanced proficiency with relevant design software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. General working knowledge of construction materials and practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam PDF software. Must have strong attention to detail and effective writing and reading skills. Benefits
