Overview
Interior Design Retail Store Manager position at Ethan Allen Global, Inc., focused on managing the design center, developing design teams, and achieving sales goals.
Responsibilities
Overall management of the design center.
Implement Ethan Allen’s Leadership Principles, lead change initiatives, and build relationships with the team.
Hold team accountable to meet or exceed sales goals and benchmarks.
Drive new business and increase sales through grassroots marketing, local partnerships, trade business, and digital channels.
Develop written business plans and participate in their execution.
Review P&L statements monthly with Market Design Leader and Market Operations Leader.
Develop and participate in community programs to increase brand exposure.
Conduct performance appraisals per company policy.
Ensure adherence to company policies such as the Code of Conduct, workplace harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
Provide guidance to ensure sales growth, financial integrity, and protection of company assets.
Implement company policies and procedures, monitor compliance, and hold team accountable.
Provide training sessions for the design center and attend corporately sponsored training.
Set goals monthly and quarterly with all designers in the design center.
Contribute ideas for policy changes to support growth.
Ensure proper inventory reconciliation.
Propose innovative strategies that support growth and improvement of the business.
Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive relevant work experience and practical interior design experience, or a combination of both. Proven sales background in residential interior design. Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques. Supervisory experience required.
Other Requirements:
Entrepreneurial attitude, strong communication and organizational skills, team leadership, ability to manage the design process and review design projects, practice of residential interior design, ability to train and coach designers, product knowledge, sales performance and customer service. Must work holidays, evenings, weekends. Valid driver’s license required unless alternate transportation can be provided.
Compensation Starting base salary of $75,000 – $110,000, depending on experience. Monthly incentive compensation based on written sales.
