Position Summary / Purpose Get paid to work remotely as a Writing Tutor! Our Online Student Tutoring team provides one-on-one academic support to Grand Canyon University online students seeking help with basic writing and formatting. Writing Tutors assist students in strengthening their writing skills, building confidence, and understanding course requirements—all while working from home within the state of Arizona.
Qualifications
Must have successfully completed ENG-105 or ENG-106 with a minimum grade of "A–".
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Strong verbal communication and phone skills.
Self-driven, reliable, and professional.
Must be available to work during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters and reside in Arizona.
Responsibilities
Provide individualized writing tutoring and academic coaching to online students.
Assist students with grammar, structure, formatting, and written communication.
Offer feedback that promotes independent learning and writing development.
Make outbound calls to schedule tutoring appointments as needed.
Record detailed appointment notes in the student database.
Maintain confidentiality of student information and tutoring interactions.
Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Education & Eligibility
Be enrolled full-time at Grand Canyon University in a bachelor’s or master’s program.
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA (undergraduate) or 3.0 GPA (graduate).
Remain in good academic and financial standing (SAP).
Understand that falling below these requirements may result in termination of employment.
