Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
The College of Engineering is seeking motivated graduate or upper-level undergraduate students to serve as teaching assistants for the Engineering Design Cornerstone course (EGR 1200) in the Fall semester. Students who desire to gain teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Grade assignments and/or exams as needed
Attend all class sessions of your assigned section, assisting faculty instructor as needed
Provide guidance to students in class
Coordinate with other course TAs to offer joint office hours (at least two hours per week)
Additional Information
Minimum qualifications:
Graduate level (preferred) OR Undergraduate level with junior or senior standing (UG student must have successfully completed EGR 1200 with a grade of B+ or better).
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow multi-step instructions.
Must be able to work well independently.
Basic office skills and computer skills including MS Word & Excel.
Ability to navigate Blackboard learning management system to access assignments and enter grades.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
Physical Demands Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Wage Rate $13 - $15 per hour depending on level
