CADD Designer/Detailer - (L-2024-08)

As a member of an interdisciplinary design team, responsibilities may include: Organize and maintain CADD files and workspace for transportation engineering projects including civil, structural and electrical engineering plans and ROW plans Detail steel and concrete structures such as bridges and retaining walls Prepare construction plans conforming to CADD standards of transportation agencies such NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, PennDOT, PTC, NYSDOT and NYCDDC Prepare color plans for proposals Prepare color displays for public meetings Oversee and train CADD technicians Work closely with project managers and project engineers Perform quality control tasks such as checking work of CADD technicians Occasional travel to other Arora offices for temporary assignments Requirements Associate degree, vocational school or military training certificate in Engineering Graphics or related field Five or more years of progressive experience preparing engineering plans using CADD Proficiency with Microstation and AutoCAD software Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Revit and/or BIM preferred Understanding of NJ/NY/PA transportation agency CADD standards preferred Able to work independently and as part of a team, and be committed to completing assignments accurately and on time All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, creed, color, nationality, national origin, ancestry, marital status, affectional or sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or expression, disability, or religion.
