Responsibilities
Provide strategic counsel and support for the North America Quality organization
Lead the development and implementation of communication strategies that align with the Quality organization’s goals and priorities
Partner with product development, manufacturing and brands to anticipate and manage issues and proactively highlight quality initiatives, improvements and achievements
Collaborate with global counterparts to share information and best practices and leverage opportunities, while ensuring that quality messaging and content is aligned across the organization
Identify storytelling opportunities that enhance the company’s reputation as a customer‑centric organization
Create compelling content for both internal and external audiences (i.e., key messages, Q&A, news releases, videos, social media, etc.)
Work alongside the team to lead issues and crises response plans to ensure clarity, speed and credibility
Partner with HR and other departments to drive employee engagement around quality initiatives
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism
7+ years of combined experience in communications, journalism or public relations
Strategic storyteller with strong media instincts and deep understanding of the auto industry
Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, visual graphics) with proven ability to translate technical content into clear, relatable and inspiring messages
Strategic thinker and problem solver open to new ideas and challenging status‑quo
Collaborative, team player with proven ability to successfully work cross‑functionally
Strong work ethic, energetic, flexible and proactive
Positive attitude with ability to effectively navigate a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Ability to create programs using measurement to guide decision making
Preferred Qualifications
National media relations experience
Strong business acumen
Extensive knowledge of company, product and industry
