Job Summary
Title: Jr. Video Editor/Videographer
Location: New York, NY (On‑Site, 5 days a week in office)
The Role Roc Nation is looking for a Junior Video Editor & Videographer to work from our New York City office. In this role, you will act as a producer, editor, and content strategist, responsible for delivering dynamic video content from concept to completion. Reporting to the Jr. Art Director, you will collaborate with multiple internal teams to create on‑brand content. The ideal candidate is an autonomous and efficient professional who can manage their workflow to meet critical deadlines.
Who You Are
Proven experience in videography and non‑linear video editing
A strong understanding of Roc Nation's branding, aesthetics, and content history
The ability to identify growth opportunities and translate cultural trends into executed content
Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced setting
Responsibilities
Responsible for shooting video and editing and producing
Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including creative, digital, and brand strategy to build a holistic approach to video production
Brainstorm and develop innovative ideas with the team
Maintain a steady flow of high quality content for all video needs
Define and elevate the aesthetic quality of assets in collaboration with the Jr. Art Director
Audio editing and post‑production mixing, color‑grading
Lite animation and motion graphics
Secure and vet photo + video talent, crew for upcoming shoots
Uphold the standards of the Roc Nation brand
Experience, Skills, Knowledge
2–4 years of experience in editing and producing
Proficiency in digital media software tools (Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, After Effects)
Must be familiar with all social media tools
Experience with script writing, storyboarding and creating content narratives
Experience working with and troubleshooting lighting and sound
Highly organized, with baseline levels of project management
Independent and detail‑oriented with a creative approach to video editing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to problem‑solve, troubleshoot and stay calm under pressure
A team player with the ability to work independently and multi‑task
In tune with latest trends, news, and tools
Experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless video cameras
Full understanding of the Roc Nation brand, all subsequent verticals, and partner companies

The Expected Compensation For This Position Is $64,000.00 USD - $80,000.00 USD
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
