A/V & Multimedia Specialist – Gospel Rescue Mission, Tucson, AZ This role blends technical AV support with creative multimedia production, supporting 50/50 event operations and content creation for the ministry.

Key Responsibilities Audio-Visual Support & Event Production (50%)

Set up, operate, and maintain audio, video, lighting, and projection equipment for live events, meetings, workshops, and other activities.

Troubleshoot AV and technical issues in real-time to ensure smooth event execution.

Plan and coordinate AV requirements with event organizers, including stage layouts, microphone placement, and display configurations.

Assist with live streaming, multi-camera setups, and hybrid event production.

Maintain an organized inventory of AV equipment, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and readiness for use.

Provide technical guidance to staff or volunteers operating AV equipment during events.

Creative Media Production & Content Creation (50%)

Conceptualize, film, and produce high-quality video and audio content for commercials, promotional campaigns, social media, and internal communications.

Edit video and audio using professional software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, OBS, Audition, DaVinci Resolve) to deliver polished and engaging content.

Collaborate with marketing, communications, and program teams to translate creative ideas into compelling media assets.

Produce a wide range of media formats, including short‑form social media clips, promotional videos, commercials, training videos, and event recaps.

Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, messaging, and visual identity.

Manage digital media assets, organizing, archiving, and optimizing for web and social platforms.

Stay up-to-date with current trends in digital content, social media, and multimedia storytelling.

Provide input on creative campaigns and marketing strategies where video and multimedia can enhance messaging.

Assist in creating graphics, motion graphics, or other visual elements to support media projects.

Maintain awareness of new AV and media production technologies, recommending updates or improvements when appropriate.

Record and report outcomes of GRM’s development department efforts as outlined in the department playbook.

Essential Experience, Skills, and Competencies

Proven experience in audio‑visual setup, live event support, and troubleshooting.

Strong portfolio demonstrating video production, editing, and content creation for commercials, social media, or marketing campaigns.

Knowledge of lighting, sound, and projection equipment, including setup, operation, and maintenance.

Creative mindset with strong storytelling, visual composition, and audio production skills.

Excellent organizational, project management, and time‑management abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, clients, and external partners.

Experience in live streaming, multi‑camera productions, and hybrid event formats.

Photography skills, including lighting and composition.

Graphic design or motion graphics experience.

Familiarity with social media algorithms, trends, and video optimization techniques.

Ability to develop and manage creative content calendars and production schedules.

Professional Development

Requirements

Associate’s degree in communications, photography, journalism, or a related vocational field preferred.

4+ years of experience setting up and operating AV and multimedia equipment, including professional microphones, mixing boards, video cameras, switchers, and streaming software such as OBS.

Skilled in live event production, video recording, and streaming, ensuring high‑quality audio and video output.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and industry‑standard analytics tools.

Experience managing content across social media platforms in support of multimedia campaigns.

Working knowledge of WordPress, HTML, and CSS a plus.

Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills with the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with little or no guidance.

Detail‑oriented with strong communication, research, and grammar skills.

Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.

Bi‑lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Must be Christian, living a life dedicated to Christ, and be an instrument of God’s love, grace, hope, and forgiveness to all.

Physical Demands

Adherence to infection‑control practices; may come into contact with ill or contagious individuals.

Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds.

Employment Status

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, non‑exempt.
