WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a
Intermediate Designer, Brand Retail Design Experience - Global
to support the concept, design and development of 3D brand environments, following our Global Retail Experience vision. This hybrid role will be based out of our
NYC
office. The salary range for this position is
$70,000-75,000
per year.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
Support in creating product placement plans (planograms) across DTC, retail partners, and temporary setups in alignment with brand refreshes and promotional calendars.
Support 3D retail proposals and help create technical drawings for retail and VM concepts (e.g., floor fixtures, window displays, events, and pop‑ups).
Collaborate with the Global Retail Experience Team to support the execution of Visual Merchandising (VM) initiatives and guideline development for global and regional adaptation.
Partner with senior team members to ensure creative excellence in execution and meet key business drivers such as budget, timelines, and value engineering.
Build collaborative working relationships across internal cross‑functional teams including brand marketing, creative, commercial and regional retail partners to align on goals, understand requirements and ensure strategic execution.
Coordinate with vendors, retail designers, and internal teams to support the development and implementation of merchandising tools and retail assets.
Assist in vendor coordination, prototyping and review of drawings and specifications during pre‑engineering phases.
Maintain awareness of project schedules, production timelines, and on‑counter dates to ensure timely execution.
Provide guidance and feedback to regional partners to ensure all work meets brand design standards and aligns with retailer‑specific requirements, while elevating overall retail experience.
Possess a strong sense of 2D composition and assist with adapting graphic assets for retail environments when needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
Post‑secondary education in VM design, Interior Design or a related field.
2 - 4 years of related design experience in retail (beauty, luxury, or lifestyle retail preferred).
Proficient in SketchUp, Rendering programs (e.g., V‑Ray, Enscape), Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Suite programs.
Ability to translate design concepts into compelling visual presentation and narratives.
Solid understanding of technical drawings, materials, and fabrication methods.
Experience in working with brand guidelines, and adapting creative for global and regional retail environments.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a strong asset.
