General Description Of Work
Whatcom Community College's Office of Student Life and Development (OSLD) welcomes applications for a Part-Time Hourly, Marketing Coordinator. The OSLD Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote student life and development and student government events, programs, and services. This position requires a creative, organized, and motivated individual looking to develop skills in marketing and leadership. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Office of Student Life & Development team to enhance the student life experience on campus and engage WCC students.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns across various channels, including social media, website, and postings across campus.
In collaboration with student leaders, create engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written materials to promote events and initiatives.
Coordinate and update physical postings on campus bulletin boards and sandwich boards.
Manage and update the WCC Student Life social media accounts, ensuring consistent student programs branding and messaging.
Collaborate with OSLD staff to coordinate marketing efforts and maximize impact.
Track and analyze marketing campaign performance to provide recommendations for improvement.
Assist with the planning and execution of promotional events and activities.
Learn and develop an understanding of current marketing trends and best practices.
Ensure all marketing materials adhere to the Whatcom Community College and ASWCC brand guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications.
Demonstrated experience in administering student programs in a community college setting.
Excellent verbal, listening, writing, problem‑solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
Current Whatcom Community College student.
Salary and Hours
This is a part-time hourly, non-permanent position with a wage of $19.00 per hour. Schedule is 15 hours per week.
Accrues 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours of work.
Start Date
Position begins on December 16th, 2025. Position ends June 18th, 2026.
