General Function As an eCommerce Content Associate, you will be a member of the eCommerce team focused on delivering great customer experiences on our Aisles Online eCommerce platform. Your primary focus will be to help ensure our customers have the product information they need and expect by keeping information about our product assortment complete and up to date. You will also work closely with the rest of the eCommerce team to execute and provide support for various promotional activities and product collections. The ideal candidate will be both creative and analytical, with the ability to maintain good working relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Execute digital merchandising strategies to ensure an accurate, appealing, and easy-to-navigate online shopping experience.

Partner with technology, category management, marketing, retail operations, and store teams to align digital merchandising with store promotions and overall business goals.

Ensure grocery product details (item descriptions, nutritional information, images, and pack sizes) are accurate, meet Hy‑Vee and supplier standards, and optimized for search and conversion.

Manage online category updates, seasonal assortments, and featured product displays to highlight relevant grocery items.

Create and maintain product collections for various company‑wide events and promotions, while ensuring timely and accurate execution.

Provide assistance and maintain good working relationships with outside vendors.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the development of strategies that help drive overall discoverability of products online.

Work directly with Marketing to align in‑store, social media and digital campaigns.

Work directly with third‑party syndication platforms to ensure accurate product content sourcing.

Regularly audit online assortments for up‑to‑date images and product content or discrepancies between in‑store and online offerings.

Evaluate competitor grocery sites to identify emerging trends, pricing changes, and best‑in‑class merchandising approaches.

Support digital transformation projects, platform enhancements, and new feature rollouts as needed to improve the online grocery shopping experience.

Attend and actively participate in vendor meetings, and internal company meetings to stay informed on trends and represent the eCommerce merchandising function.

Perform other job‑related duties, special projects, and assignments as required to support the success of the eCommerce and merchandising teams.

Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 2–3 years of related experience in eCommerce, retail merchandising, marketing, or a similar field preferred. Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

Must be physically able to perform heavy work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 100 pounds, and significant standing or walking.

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions The duties of this position are performed in both field and office settings where there is weekly pressure to meet deadlines.
