THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Senior Community Manager with deep expertise in building, growing, and nurturing communities in the video game and/or entertainment industries. In this role, you will lead the global community vision and ecosystem across multiple game properties - from early development through launch and beyond. You will work closely with developers, publishing teams, internal creative groups, and a network of external community and social agencies to deliver a world-class, player-first community experience. This position is ideal for a high-energy self-starter who can independently build strategy and execute with minimal supervision while representing our studio and games with passion, authenticity, and expertise.

WHO YOU ARE:
  • Player-obsessed and passionate about creating meaningful connections between developers and communities.
  • A natural relationship builder who collaborates effortlessly across creative, development, publishing, and agency teams.
  • Energized by fast-moving environments and able to drive momentum without waiting for direction.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to zoom out for long-term planning while also rolling up your sleeves for hands-on execution.
  • Someone who loves both the art and science of community building-balancing creative instincts with data-driven insights.
  • A skilled communicator who can simplify complex information and deliver it with empathy, transparency, and authenticity.
  • A proactive problem solver who anticipates community needs before they surface and acts quickly to address issues or opportunities.
  • A gamer at heart who understands community culture, player motivations, platform trends, and the passion that drives fandoms.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Develop and own the community strategy for multiple titles, ensuring alignment with game development, publishing, and marketing goals.
  • Build vibrant, healthy, player-first communities across Discord, Reddit, forums, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and other emerging platforms.
  • Shape long-term community roadmaps from pre-launch to ongoing post-launch cycles.
  • Design and lead global community programs including dev updates, AMAs, feedback loops, livestreams, and roadmap communications.
  • Serve as an authentic, informed spokesperson for the studio and game franchises - online and at industry events.
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with players, content creators, and influencers to grow advocacy and excitement.
  • Partner with game development teams to deliver actionable player feedback, represent community perspectives, and help shape meaningful features and experiences.
  • Collaborate with creative services, social media, and marketing teams to ensure community content reflects the essence of each game, its world, and its players.
  • Work with publishing partners to integrate community programming into 360° GTM, marketing and content plans.
  • Lead and manage a network of external community, social, and influencer agencies, providing direction, oversight, and performance expectations.
  • Partner with licensors, platform partners, and brand collaborators to drive authentic and aligned community engagement opportunities.
  • Build robust and scalable community / player listening systems to gather and organize feedback, sentiment, etc.
  • Monitor community sentiment, identify trends, and deliver clear insights to improve development decisions and engagement strategies.
  • Build scalable systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting player feedback across global regions.
  • Grow and manage an ecosystem of streamers, creators, and community leaders to amplify content and build long-term advocacy.
  • Partner with creative and social teams to support creator campaigns, early access programs, and in-game content moments.
  • Support post-launch activities including content updates, patches, feature announcements, and seasonal events.
  • Ensure consistent, timely, and transparent communication during key periods, including launch, updates, unexpected service issues, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience building, growing, and managing communities for video games, live-service titles, or major entertainment franchises.
  • Proven ability to independently build community strategy and execute with minimal supervision.
  • Experience collaborating with or managing external community, social media, or influencer agencies.
  • Strong public-facing communication skills, including livestreaming, interviews, and written updates.
  • Deep understanding of gaming culture, player behavior, online community dynamics, and content ecosystems across Discord, Reddit, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and more.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze player sentiment, synthesize insights, and translate feedback into actionable recommendations for development and publishing teams.
  • Experience supporting pre-launch through post-launch community efforts.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills - especially with game development teams, creative teams, social teams, and publishing partners.
  • Comfortable representing the studio as an official spokesperson with clarity, authenticity, and professionalism.
  • High-energy, proactive self-starter with strong ownership mentality and ability to manage multiple projects across several game properties.
PERFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience working on or supporting AAA games, multiplayer titles, or large-scale entertainment IP.
  • Background building creator, streamer, or influencer programs.
  • Understanding of global community behavior and experience engaging with international audiences.
  • Familiarity with community tools and analytics dashboards (e.g., Discord management tools, sentiment analysis platforms, CRM systems).
  • Prior experience shaping or contributing to content roadmaps, community feature sets, or in-game engagement strategies.
  • Comfortable writing or editing patch notes, dev blogs, lore updates, or community-facing narrative content.
