Position Overview

Fine Art Portrait Photographer – Families, Children & Pets

Location: Midlothian, VA

Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (3,040 hours/week)

Compensation: $18-$50/hr + Performance Bonuses

Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday

Work Location: In-studio, In-person only

Key Responsibilities

• Photograph individuals, families, children, and pets in a studio setting
• Create a fun, safe, and exciting experience for each client
• Pose subjects confidently and artistically with attention to posture, gesture, and composition
• Collaborate with the studio team to deliver best-in-class results
• Prepare sets, manage lighting, and ensure studio readiness for each session
• Represent Butler Portraits with warmth, professionalism, and a passion for excellence

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional portrait photography experience
• Skilled at working with children and pets with the patience and energy to match
• Strong posing skills and artistic eye for detail and balance
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality; ability to build rapport quickly
• Professional demeanor, team-focused mindset, and punctuality
• Detail-oriented and adaptable under pressure
