Compensation: $95,000 - $120,000 / year
Description
The position of 3D Artist contributes to the success of NICOLEHOLLIS, Inc., by creating architectural and interior design renderings for residential and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience working in the architectural 3D rendering industry with a solid understanding of modeling buildings from drawings, applying materials, lighting a scene, and composition. Hand sketching and traditional rendering skills are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high quality, photorealistic computer-generated visualizations, 3D interior and exterior imagery for use in client presentations and studies.
- Produce 3D photorealistic computer-generated visualization of custom furniture, lighting pieces and accessories.
- Apply lighting and shading to properly represent photorealistic quality of renderings; consistently display a strong attention to detail and finishes.
- Maintain and update a custom 3D model library of objects, furniture, lighting and more.
- Concept development during pre-production phases with other designers.
- Involvement in the preparation of client concept presentations.
- Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.
- Work closely with project management and address questions, changes, or clarifications that may arise.
- Follow standard drawing process consistently and check details for accuracy.
- Produce images in accordance with existing studio 3D standards and processes.
- Take responsibility and ownership of multiple projects at any one time, communicating with team members regarding status and schedule.
Skills and Core Competencies
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Expert knowledge of 3ds Max with Corona/Vray and Photoshop.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Rhino.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/design drawings and documents.
- Ability to interact effectively with the design team and understand our team culture.
- Ability to collaborate with other designers and make revisions accordingly.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
- Self‑motivation and alignment with core‑team values.
- Excellent customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills including patience, flexibility, judgment, discretion and tact.
- Self‑starter with strong independent judgment, discretion and critical thinking; ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team and stay focused under pressure.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in a very fast‑paced, performance‑oriented environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to master new tasks quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and edit polished communications.
