Job Summary

The Event Services Technician is responsible for assisting with floor operations, including setup, strike, and operation of technology solutions in a hotel or hospitality environment, focusing on delivering unmatched customer service to guests and clients.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure all event sets and strikes are completed according to Company SOPs.
  • Greet guests/clients before the event and provide clear instructions on operating equipment.
  • Provide continued communication with the client to ensure event success.
  • Follow through on all client requests.
  • Look for opportunities to enhance the client’s event.
  • Maintain accurate client event information within the Company’s business systems.
  • Review daily invoices with the client and obtain signature on invoice(s).
  • Comply with all Company security and safety measures, maintaining awareness of equipment inventory and location.
  • Ensure all inventory is in good working order and rental condition.
  • Report any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment immediately to management.
  • Secure inventory from theft or damage.
  • Keep Company‑occupied areas clean, organized, and up to Company standards.
  • Continuously improve technical skills, including audio, video/data, staging, computer operation, and networking.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Prior exposure to the audio‑visual and/or hospitality industry.
  • Computer proficiency (hardware, software, and networking).

  • Planning ability; able to plan ahead and prioritize.

Physical Demands

  • Sit at a desk.
  • Stand or walk for long periods, including up and down stairs.
  • Consistently bend, stoop, use hands to hold, handle, or feel.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Talk, hear, and communicate.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
