Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
- Craft personalized treatment plans that encompass short and long-term goals tailored to individual communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass voice, fluency, language, and swallowing.
- Cooperate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide families and patients with educational resources to bolster their progress outside of clinical appointments.
- Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with all state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of starting.
- Expertise in employing evidence-based treatment methods across all age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
