Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Craft personalized treatment plans that encompass short and long-term goals tailored to individual communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass voice, fluency, language, and swallowing.
  • Cooperate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide families and patients with educational resources to bolster their progress outside of clinical appointments.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with all state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of starting.

  • Expertise in employing evidence-based treatment methods across all age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing.
