What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  • Assist in the preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazard labels under the supervision of senior staff
  • Research toxicological, chemical, and physical properties of USP chemical products to determine health and environmental hazards
  • Provide Handling Categories, potency evaluations, and safety information to staff and customers as required
  • Collaborate effectively within a team to meet time-sensitive project deadlines
  • Maintain excellent organization and attention to detail in all tasks

What is Required (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a sciences-related discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to research, think critically, and analyze conflicting data
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word and Excel

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Knowledge of toxicology, industrial hygiene, hazard and risk communication, and chemical regulation
