Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Milwaukee, WI. As an Investigative Journalist Fellow, you will conduct in‑depth research, write and produce high‑impact long‑form investigative pieces centered on public service journalism. You will engage with academic and professional resources to develop, write, and present your reporting project. Your responsibilities include crafting press releases, writing news stories, and potentially utilizing broadcasting skills as part of your storytelling strategy. The fellow will also collaborate with faculty, students, editors, and other professional journalists during the project period.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in writing, news writing, and crafting compelling narratives
- Experience in research methodologies for investigative journalism
- Ability to create impactful press releases and convey key messages effectively
- Skills in broadcasting are a plus to enhance storytelling using multimedia platforms
- Strong understanding of public‑interest reporting and journalistic ethics
