Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is crucial for supporting resort marketing efforts throughout the year. During peak winter operations, the role is responsible for cross‑channel communication with the public and Powder Haven residents, ensuring timely and accurate updates on snow, weather, and operations, and serving as a key liaison during emergency situations. In non‑peak periods, the coordinator supports the team’s overall marketing initiatives, including blog, email, and website content management, and various administrative tasks. This seasonal full‑time on‑site role requires a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with marketing, Mountain Operations, and other departments to align snow reporting, marketing campaigns, and resort‑wide initiatives.
Serve as the onsite communication liaison during emergencies, ensuring prompt and accurate information is disseminated to guests and staff.
Consistently deliver precise and up‑to‑date weather and snow reports to guests and neighbors.
Craft intentional messaging around incoming storms and weather events for social, email, app, and web channels.
Support the team during major campaign moments requiring additional resources across email, app, and web channels.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in the ski or resort industry, marketing, or communications (preferred).
Knowledge
Understanding of snow conditions, weather reporting, and their impact on resort operations.
Familiarity with marketing principles, social media platforms, and content creation.
Knowledge of emergency response protocols in a resort setting (preferred).
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., Google Suite, CRM platforms, social media schedulers, or Adobe Creative Suite).
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
Abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and communications.
Adaptability to quickly shift focus between duties.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and make decisions under pressure.
