Senior UI/UX Product Designer – Portland, OR

I’m excited to share an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Digital Product Designer to join the Human Machine Interface (HMI) Design team. This hybrid UX/UI role is perfect for designers who thrive at the intersection of creativity, technology, and user-centered problem‑solving—shaping the future of digital experiences in transportation.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll drive the design process from concept to delivery, collaborating with cross-functional partners to build intuitive, engaging digital products for the Company ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading UX/UI initiatives with a user‑first mindset
  • Conducting and synthesizing user research to inform design decisions
  • Crafting user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production‑ready assets
  • Shaping interaction patterns and contributing to the design system
  • Partnering closely with engineering to ensure seamless implementation
  • Presenting work, facilitating design reviews, and bringing design rationale to life
  • Championing design thinking and user‑centered practices across the org

  • OEM experience
  • Strong foundation in design thinking

What We’re Looking For in a Portfolio

  • We’re seeking a polished portfolio that clearly demonstrates:
  • How you approach problem‑solving
  • Strong visual execution and design quality
  • Real market or production‑ready work

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX, Product, Visual, or Interaction Design
  • 3–7 years of professional UX/UI or product design experience
  • Proven shipped or production‑ready digital experiences
  • Proficiency in Figma + prototyping tools
  • Passion for motion/animation in storytelling
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities independently
  • OEM experience (required)

Bonus Skills

  • Automotive or mobility design experience
  • Familiarity with 3D tools (Blender, C4D, Alias)
  • Experience in real‑time or embedded environments (Kanzi, Unreal, Unity)
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design
