Position Overview

Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities including MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online, and Blended Classes.

What You Will Be Doing

• Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluates and advises students
• Participates in departmental and college affairs
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed

• Master's degree in discipline or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in discipline from an accredited institution
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Teaching experience at college or community college level preferred
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff
• Excellent organizational skills
• Flexibility to include evening and weekend assignments
• Ability to work in a multi‑ethnic, multi‑cultural environment
