Summary

Client seeks a Web Developer to support web application projects. This position involves working throughout the full lifecycle of system delivery, with a focus on the design, development, and deployment of high‑quality applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy web applications.
• Implement new features and enhancements.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure code quality.
• Review and contribute to technical designs.
• Ensure applications meet all functional specifications and performance requirements.

Scope of Work

The scope of work is to support the Client's web application portfolio, which includes modern and older legacy systems. The primary focus is on modifying, enhancing, and maintaining these existing applications while managing a crucial transition to or integration with a new system. Key responsibilities involve implementing feature requests, bug fixes, and performance improvements across all systems. The developer will leverage Angular for front‑end modifications and REST API (Java equivalent) expertise for back‑end service integration. A significant portion of the work is dedicated to analyzing and safely modifying existing legacy codebases, designing and developing services to seamlessly integrate the existing and legacy applications with the new target system. The role requires developing robust unit tests and collaborating closely with BSAs and QA teams to ensure all application changes and the new integration adhere to technical specifications and business needs, delivering stable, secure, high‑quality updates across the entire application landscape.

Required Skills

• Angular or React: professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications.
• API Development: building and consuming RESTful APIs (or equivalent experience in a language like Java/Spring).
• Database Proficiency: SQL development, including writing complex queries and performing basic query optimization.
• Full Development Lifecycle: strong understanding of SDLC and modern dev methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Version Control: proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows (branching, merging, pull requests).
• Problem‑Solving: excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and debug application issues across the stack.
• Prior Tax or financial technology work experience (highly desired).
