PHP Web Developer
Location: Orlando, FL / Miami, FL
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire / Hybrid
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications and APIs using PHP and the LAMP stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, and project managers, to deliver seamless and user-friendly solutions.
- Design and implement database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure the integrity and security of application data.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployments to ensure a high-quality product.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web development to improve processes and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications- Strong proficiency in PHP and extensive experience with backend development.
- Solid understanding of the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and its configuration and optimization.
- Experience working with relational databases, including database design and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their interaction with backend systems.
- Proficient understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
- Understanding of security principles and best practices in web application development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
