Job Description:
- Gather and analyze the requirements for technical documentation, according to the client and the target audience.
- Create user manuals, design specifications, standard operating procedures, repair manuals, and other (printed or digital) technical documentation by identifying the requirements per the required domain.
- Collaborate closely with SMEs, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure quality, usability, safety compliance of the documents.
- Work proactively with project teams and to ensure that all information is technically accurate, comprehensive, and in compliance with documentation standards.
- Effectively manage documentation projects and deliver effective customer-focused documentation.
- Familiar with a content management system (CMS) to manage the lifecycle of technical documentation, including draft, review, and publish phases.
Primary Skills: - Must have expertise in Technical Writing and Documentation.
- Must have great understanding of the automotive/ Oil & Gas industry.
- Must be able to identify, analyze, and write technical requirements for automotive/aerospace industrial documentation.
- Must know the difference between functionality-based specifications and design-based specifications.
- Must have hands-on writing experience of user manuals, repair manuals, design specifications, standard operating procedures, part catalogues, etc.
- Must have knowledge of INCOSE guidelines and other requirement writing guidelines.
- Must have hands-on experience of working on XML-based authoring tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, OxygenXML, Arbortext, Windchill, etc.).
- Must have the knowledge of international industry standards and must adhere to it when writing the requirements documentation.
- Must have the understanding of software-based automotive systems related to telematics, navigation, entertainment, electronics, sensors and control, communications and networking, ECU and CAN Bus, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, autonomous and functional safety, cyber security for vehicles, etc.
- Must be familiar with DDLC, SDLC, T&E, V&V, ConOps.
Secondary Skills: - Quick learner, ability to adapt.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English, should be able to differentiate between U.S. and U.K. English.
- Basic knowledge of creating technical illustrations (2D/3D drawings).
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Team player, ability to interface with cross-functional teams.
- Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in any specialization
