Job Description Design & Creative Support, Project & Client Management, Site & Installation Support, and Team & Office Support across the full lifecycle of high‑end residential projects.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Principal on high‑end residential projects from concept through installation.
Create CAD furniture plans, elevations, and detailed custom work orders.
Assist with design presentations, finish palettes, and material boards.
Source furnishings, fabrics, lighting, rugs, accessories, and finishes aligned with project goals and budgets.
Prepare RFQs, review/redline shop drawings, and support custom furniture development.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and installation schedules.
Produce weekly status reports and keep clients and internal teams updated.
Serve as a liaison between clients, architects, contractors, and vendors.
Track orders, shipping updates, backorders, and delivery logistics with exceptional attention to detail.
Prepare proposals, purchase orders, and finish schedules (paint, tile, plumbing, hardware, lighting, wallpaper).
Conduct field measurements and prepare accurate CAD drawings.
Attend site visits, manage trades, and support installations.
Assist with styling, photoshoots, and final punch lists.
Maintain sample libraries and assist with general office organization.
Support team communication, scheduling, and project documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–4+ years of experience in a high‑end residential design firm.
Strong design sensibility with the ability to execute a refined, classic‑meets‑modern aesthetic.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
Knowledge of trade resources (fabrics, furniture, lighting, carpets, antiques, artisans).
Strong custom furniture/millwork knowledge preferred.
Demonstrated experience overseeing daily tasks and providing guidance to junior or supporting team members.
Proven ability to coordinate workloads, maintain organization, and support project flow alongside designers and principals.
Able to anticipate challenges, troubleshoot confidently, and develop quick, clear solutions.
Works well within a team environment and contributes positively to firm culture.
Communicates effectively and professionally across all levels.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple fast‑paced projects simultaneously.
Warm, polished communicator with a positive, can‑do attitude.
Additional Requirements
Comfortable traveling between project locations (New England, Atlanta, and other regions as needed).
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
