$60,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to support commercial and industrial construction projects across the Charlotte market. This role focuses on producing high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system designs in coordination with project managers, engineers, and field teams. Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit Assist in system layout, load calculations, equipment selection, and coordination with other trades Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance Work closely with engineers to refine designs and resolve design challenges Support project teams with design changes, RFIs, as-built drawings, and field coordination Ensure all designs meet local building codes and client standards Requirements
3–5+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience in commercial construction Strong proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Strong attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines Package
