Job Title: X-Ray Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of experience required. License: ARRT and state license required. Certifications: No compact offered for this profession. Must have another state license to submit. Must-Have: OR and ER experience required. Portable, C-Arm, and contrast experience required. Epic experience preferred. Description: Unit accepts first-time travelers. Staff rotate through various departments including ED and OR. Most of the workload is in the OR and portables. Daily activities include routine portables, mostly chest imaging. OR cases consist of orthopedic, neuro, urology, and pain management procedures. Fluoroscopy procedures mostly involve modified barium swallows and some arthrograms. There are two general radiology rooms available. An ortho office with three general X-ray rooms is also present. Must be comfortable with bedside and portable procedures. Candidates should have experience performing abdomen, chest, and lumbar spine imaging, among other procedures. Interdisciplinary support is available for various patient diagnoses. Experience with 200 patient daily census is preferred. Candidates should be prepared for possible floating based on facility needs. Reference from a supervisory figure is required for screening. Specialty experience must be within the last year.
