Buist is seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Installer. The candidate is responsible for general labor and basic integration of audio visual equipment and systems. This role requires the drive to work, the curiosity to learn, and the ability to take instruction from AV Technicians and AV Lead Technicians.
The Audio Visual Installer is responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of audio visual (AV) equipment and systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality installations in a variety of environments. The technician will also collaborate with AV Technicians and AV Lead Technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities Perform basic AV integration tasks such as installation of displays, projectors, screens, video conferencing equipment, speakers, microphones, and control systems Perform basic cable management and termination for structured cabling systems Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition Adhere to company, customer, and industry safety policies and procedures at all times Engage with clients professionally and courteously, addressing any questions or concerns
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications Basic understanding of hand and power tools for AV installations Basic understanding of AV systems Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to lift and carry equipment in excess of 50 lbs and work at heights using ladders or lifts Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Prior hands-on experience working in a trade Prior hands-on experience working with technology
Work Hours Full time/hourly position Hours are typically Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 5:00PM Occasional evenings and weekends as needed to meet project requirements
