Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Assistant Editor / Post Production Associate to join our Post Production team. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the creative marketing editing teams of Disney Entertainment Television, including organizing media for shoot campaigns and assembling scenes from dailies projects for titles currently in production. You will work closely with media management and on‑set DITs to streamline production‑to‑post workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post‑production operations, proficiency with editing software, and keen attention to detail.
You will collaborate closely with editors, producers, and finishing and operations teams to ensure all deadlines and deliveries are met. This position requires a proactive problem‑solver who can troubleshoot technical issues, maintain project integrity, and adapt to evolving technologies and workflows. While you will interact with creative teams, your primary contribution will be the technical execution and support of post‑production tasks.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with production and creative teams to organize media assets and project materials for marketing shoots and scripted content.
Import, synchronize, and manage shoot and dailies media to support editorial workflows.
Facilitate media delivery and distribution to various teams, including digital and social teams as needed.
Assist in assembling preliminary edits and providing supporting production documents.
Contribute to asset management, including music cue sheets, shot lists, clearance logs, and related materials.
Support the creative editing teams across brands, helping to align and streamline workflows and communication.
Participate in adopting new tools and technologies to improve workflow efficiency and organization.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, broadcast, production, or post‑production environments supporting creative editing teams.
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and skilled in importing, organizing, and exporting media assets.
Strong understanding of file formats, HD broadcast standards, television, and social media post‑production workflows.
Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and follow‑through skills.
Thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment; flexible and solution‑oriented.
Effective communicator and collaborator with a team‑focused mindset.
Proactive in adopting and learning new technologies and workflows; forward‑thinking and resourceful problem‑solver.
Proficient in PC and Mac environments and various computer software.
Familiarity with Disney Television content and appreciation for the brand is a plus.
Able to work independently, take direction well, and adjust quickly in a fluid environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of AI tools for workflow automation.
Promo experience preferred.
Knowledge of color correction tools is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
*This role is in office 4x/week from our Burbank office, Monday – Thursday and working from home on Friday.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $72,000.00 to $96,500.00 per year based on a 40‑hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
