Job Purpose The SEO Specialist's role is to assist team members in the execution of client work. The SEO Specialist should have an intense desire to learn on the job and continue to grow knowledge in SEO execution, strategy, and communication.

Duties and Responsibilities The SEO Specialist will be required to wear many hats, and perform work for a wide variety of clients. They will be tasked to execute marketing strategies for various clients as laid out by the Strategists. These tasks could include, but are not limited to:

SEO Strategy Assistance

Implement Search Engine Optimization tactics

Execute work and create recommendations/deliverables as needed to fulfill SEO strategies

Organization of project work using appropriate project management systems

Execute work that meets the company’s standard of quality

Elevate unexpected events and client issues as necessary

Collaborate with other team members, contractors and/or client teams in the execution of SEO Marketing tactics, such as copywriting, development, or content promotion

Content Production Management

Writing content briefs

Implement small changes to client websites; as necessary

Improve existing blog posts

Work with copy editors to develop content and ensure all published content is free of grammatical errors

Manage multiple editorial calendars for clients; stay on top of communication with team members and clients in an effort to meet all publication deadlines

Reporting

Assist team members with data gathering for monthly reporting

Report on the success/failure of content or campaigns

Creates monthly client reports and ensures they are accurate and on time

Communication & Team Collaboration

Serves as a contact for clients

Be able and willing to learn new skills; ask questions; be an active participant in team meetings; share thoughts, knowledge, ‘wins’ and ‘losses’ to teach other team members.

Attend training sessions conducted by team members or externally

Watching webinars & taking notes to share with teammates

Qualifications Generally speaking, the right candidate will possess 2-4+ years of experience and a desire to learn from some of the best in the industry.

2-4+ years of Digital Agency experience

2-4+ years of applicable work experience with a strong focus on SEO, technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content marketing

Knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO tactics and strategies

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills

Understanding of and experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and more

Ability to prioritize projects and tasks

Excellent ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats

Highly organized; able to plan and prioritize multiple projects and tasks; strong attention to detail

Experience with various CMS platforms i.e. Shopify, Wordpress

Certified with Google Analytics, particularly GA4
