SUMMARY The Social Media & Marketing Manager is responsible for content coordination, development, production, implementation and curation, social media engagement, and online consumer relations for a large hotel, casino resort brand across multiple channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and more. This position has several exciting opportunities including regular attendance at nightclub and concert events, interaction with enthusiastic guests and participating in establishing the property as the leading destination resort in the region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop and implement strategic social media campaigns for a market-leading destination resort.

Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.

Foster continued growth of highly engaged social media communities using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, blogs, video, apps, paid media, and other tools/properties.

Support development of multicultural social media communication strategy.

Serve as social media community manager for multiple outlets – including, main property brand, wedding chapel, live poker room, arena, family fun center – this may include:

Content planning, creation, scheduling and curation for social media in collaboration with internal business verticals and external marketing agencies/partners

Consumer relations and conversation monitoring – posting new content, engaging with posted comments, and resolving consumer inquiries in a timely manner on platforms such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google Business

Social influencer & blogger relations

Oversight of social media campaigns and digital media activations

Real-time social media coverage and photography for on-property events (e.g. New Year’s Eve, Hot August Nights, food & beverage, nightlife, concerts)

Content sharing / collaboration with marketing and other business partners.

Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.

Set specific objectives and report on ROI.

Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).

Collaborating with other teams, like marketing, sales and guest service to ensure brand consistency.

Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor guest reviews.

Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).

Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.

Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

Social media insights:

Provide analytics and campaign reports

Implement brand and technology standards

Provide leadership in research and development of emerging and latest trends

Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Excellent copywriting skills

Hands on experience in content and project management

Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

Strong photography and videography skills– including:

Use of Digital SLR camera

Use of lighting and audio/sound recording equipment

Scene staging for photographs and videos

Directing and working with models

Strong photo/video editing and production skills – including use of industry-standard software, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premier Pro

Ability to engage guests in positive manner in alignment with brand image

Experience using social media listening / scheduling / analytics tools (including the Microsoft Office Suite – e.g., Excel)

Must be able to work during high-volume and key event periods at the property in order to maximize engagement opportunities

Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.

Some off-hour work required (the overall hours worked will be balanced and fair – e.g., split and adjusted shifts)

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of relevant Social Media experience

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications/English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or equivalent experience

Experience in hospitality, gaming, entertainment, food and beverage and/or retail is preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting and occasionally standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, and kneeling during the duration of their shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment.

Work environment may include concert, nightlife and other events where noise levels can be high.

This role requires occasional assignments away from the primary work location to support company initiatives and events.
