We're searching for an accomplished Lead Product Designer who is extraordinary at designing Enterprise focused digital experiences. A deep understanding of the human centered design process as well as a good understanding of the Apple ecosystem is ideal. You will have passion for collaborating closely with partners and leaders across the organization to refine our thinking and best serve our Enterprise customers.
Description As a Lead Designer you will be involved in several areas of user experience design including: business & user needs analysis, user interviews, journey mapping, low fidelity prototyping (wire-framing), high fidelity mock-ups, usability testing, and following deployment, monitoring and measuring adoption success. Your time at work will be a mixture of concepting, prototyping, presenting, and debating ideas and solutions within a broadly skilled project team and the UX design team.
Responsibilities
Craft user interfaces and support experiences focused on Enterprise clients that bridge the gap between technology and user understanding.
Align business strategy with Apple’s human-computer interaction and usability methodologies, to transform complex problems into simple solutions.
Create design systems and patterns specifically for support experiences focused on Enterprise clients.
Create solutions that increase Customer satisfaction, drive cost savings and foster innovation for both Customers and Apple employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Computer Science with 8+ years of applicable experience or a Master's degree in related field with 6+ years of experience
Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, hands-on expertise, and problem-solving skills in a lead designer capacity.
Demonstrated ability in leading and designing end-to-end workflows, applications and interactive experiences for data-rich, AI augmented Enterprise solutions.
Ability to manage ambiguity while progressing forward in proposing new solutions. Use UX research activities (contextual inquiry, interviews, testing, etc.) to aid a data driven approach in simplifying complex, information-rich and highly interactive workflows.
Experience designing workflows for skilled, professional users often performing concurrent, complex tasks, and creating user interfaces that can be successfully used with minimum user confusion or error.
Strong visual design skills with expertise in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
Strong understanding of macOS and iOS human interface capabilities and design systems.
Experience incorporating accessibility best practices, localization, scalability, and ease of maintenance in all solutions.
Engage business and technical team stakeholders for feedback and validation.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field with 12+ years of applicable experience or a Master's degree in related field with 8+ years of experience
Demonstrated ability to define new approaches to complex design problems and convey solutions in the form of presentations, click-through prototypes and design specifications.
Careful attention to detail and a thorough understanding of human centered design principles.
Assist with validating and measuring user experience success via usability testing and post release evaluations.
Experience in the advocacy and creation of accessible applications and systems.
Excellent collaboration, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
Experience working with Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
Experience defining solutions for productivity and/or media focused tools and applications.
Experience in creation of UI visual assets (e.g. Iconography).
Experience employing different user research methods and creation of interview study guides.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
