We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. The Proposal Writer will play a critical role in producing compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposals in response to government and commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitations. The ideal candidate has excellent writing, editing, and project coordination skills with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local procurement processes. Job Requirement Analysis and planning: Analyze government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) and related documents to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, and deadlines. Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and writing plans. Content development: Write and edit various proposal sections, such as the executive summary, technical approach, past performance, and management plan. Synthesize complex information from multiple sources into a clear and compelling narrative. Collaboration: Work with SMEs to gather information and translate technical concepts into persuasive, easy-to-understand language. Coordinate with the contracts and pricing teams to ensure proposal accuracy. Compliance and quality control: Ensure proposals strictly adhere to all government regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Perform final edits, proofreads, and quality control checks for grammar, consistency, and formatting. Management and coordination: Manage proposal schedules and deliverables to meet all submission deadlines. Coordinate production, including final document formatting, printing, binding, and submission. Content management: Maintain and update a library of reusable proposal content, templates, and graphics. Post-submission activities: Participate in post-submission activities like addressing clarification questions and attending debrief meetings. Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of experience writing government and/or commercial proposals (Federal, State, Local experience preferred). Strong understanding of proposal development processes (Shipley, APMP, or similar methodologies). Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management tools (SharePoint, RFPIO, Loopio, etc.). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
