Your Mission Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a passionate, data-driven, and strategic

Senior Growth Marketing Manager

for a 6 month contract to design and execute player engagement strategies for an unannounced title. As a key member of the Lifecycle Marketing team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how players experience this new world—from their first interaction through long-term engagement and retention.

You’ll help build the lifecycle foundation ahead of global launch, developing CRM frameworks, audience segmentation models, and personalized player journeys that support onboarding, live service engagement, and reactivation. The ideal candidate combines deep CRM expertise with a love for live-service gaming and a proven ability to turn insights into measurable, player-centric outcomes.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with cross-functional partners to define and deliver best-in-class lifecycle programs that evolve alongside the game’s live service strategy – connecting players to content, community, and each other through meaningful and timely communications.

This is a 6 month temporary position.

Key Responsibilities Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Strategy & Frameworks

Architect the lifecycle marketing ecosystem for a new Blizzard game IP—defining CRM data flows, automation triggers, and segmentation logic that power player engagement.

Design cross-channel journey frameworks that integrate in-game signals, behavioral data, and content cadence.

Partner with Product and Analytics to align lifecycle programs with retention, engagement, and content goals.

Build the infrastructure for onboarding, retention and reactivation programs that adapt dynamically to player behavior.

Data Intelligence & Optimization

Lead experimentation frameworks that connect CRM activity to core KPIs like retention, churn prevention, and lifetime value.

Collaborate with Data Science to develop predictive models for engagement and monetization.

Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations for content, communication, and product strategy.

Establish lifecycle dashboards and measurement standards to track player journey health across channels.

Innovation & Automation

Evaluate and pilot emerging CRM technologies, personalization tools, and cross-channel automation solutions.

Partner with cross-functional partners to evolve platform capabilities and ensure systems scalability and data accuracy.

Define QA, compliance, and data hygiene standards for CRM operations.

Create testing frameworks that inform broader Blizzard marketing best practices.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Serve as the lifecycle SME in go-to-market planning, providing insight into player engagement strategy and communication rhythm.

Collaborate with Creative, Product, and Live Ops to ensure CRM content and triggers align with player motivations and franchise voice.

Represent Lifecycle Marketing in leadership reviews, franchise syncs, and global marketing forums.

Mentor peers and regional teams on lifecycle strategy, data literacy, and experimentation.

Operational Excellence

Drive consistency, reliability, and quality across all lifecycle communications.

Ensure alignment with global privacy, opt-in, and localization standards.

Document CRM frameworks, decision logic, and best practices for cross-team reference and scalability.

Player Profile Minimum Experience

8+ years' experience in CRM, Lifecycle, or Retention Marketing (gaming, entertainment, or live-service preferred).

Proven success architecting multi-channel CRM ecosystems or lifecycle programs at scale.

Advanced expertise in CRM platforms (Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, or equivalent).

Strong proficiency with segmentation, experimentation, and performance analytics; SQL or Looker familiarity a plus.

Experience influencing senior cross-functional partners in complex, data-rich environments.

Skills & Competencies

Operates with autonomy and confidence; defines systems and frameworks rather than executing predefined ones.

Expert analytical thinker who connects player behavior to strategic business outcomes.

Exceptional communicator—able to translate data insights into persuasive storytelling and action.

Collaborative and resilient; thrives in ambiguity and builds clarity through process and experimentation.

Passion for gaming, live-service models, and Blizzard’s player-first philosophy.

Bonus Points

Experience launching or supporting early-stage titles or building CRM programs from the ground up.

Experience partnering with engineering and data teams on lifecycle automation or platform enhancements.

Familiarity with machine learning-driven segmentation or personalization systems.
