Summary The Director, Partnership Marketing will lead a dynamic account team responsible for managing and growing strategic partnerships for the New York Liberty. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of brand marketing, client service, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and collaborative partner who can drive measurable results for both the organization and its corporate sponsors. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Partnership Marketing for Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment.

What You Will Do

Manage and mentor a team of account managers, providing strategic direction, performance feedback, and professional development.

Oversee the delivery of all contracted assets, ensuring alignment with partner objectives and maximizing ROI.

Manage all aspects of top priority corporate partners with day‑to‑day account team support.

Serve as senior point of contact for corporate partners, managing escalations and strategic communications.

Lead renewal efforts for existing sponsorships, including performance measurement, recap reporting, and upsell strategy.

Identify and pursue opportunities to expand partnerships through new assets and activations.

Ensure departmental planning tools, tracking documents, and reporting systems are accurate and up to date.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve execution quality.

Provide input, manage and track budget and expenses for the Partnership Marketing team.

Work closely with Business Solutions, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams to develop proposals, contracts, and billing reports.

Liaise with Marketing, Content, and Game Presentation teams to ensure high‑impact partner integrations.

Participate in annual strategic planning sessions for the New York Liberty and be a key executive voice in budget and partner renewal strategy.

Participate in biweekly Global Partnerships department team meetings providing relevant updates for the larger team.

Work closely with Global Partnerships team members to ensure consistency across the platform and leverage platform assets and resources, such as data insights, partner solutions, partnership strategy and leadership.

Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in partnership marketing.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree required

6-8 years of partnership account management experience required

Sports industry experience preferred; agency experience a plus

Experience managing multiple direct reports and supporting professional development initiatives

Proven record of hitting revenue goals/budgets

Advanced skills with utilizing Microsoft Suite

Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) highly preferred

Compensation $100,000 - $120,000 base salary, plus bonus and commission eligibility.

Work Environment Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
