About The Role The Content Strategist is a crucial, client‑facing role responsible for day‑to‑day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. The strategist works with Enterprise clients and must deeply understand how the service line impacts other areas of business to craft a holistic marketing strategy.

Please note: internally this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: create custom strategies and implement best practices that align with client objectives and Directive's best practice framework.

Collaborate with the Associate Director when roadblocks arise; craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns with ideation based on competitor and audience insights.

Use data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMrush, Ahrefs and other tools to set client goals; goals must be approved by the Associate Director.

Execute strategy through effective project management—using Asana, delegating tasks, ensuring timely completion, and partnering with Project Managers where present.

Build and maintain client relationships beyond deliverables; proactively communicate timelines, progress and roadblocks to both clients and internal leadership.

Provide regular reporting: bi‑weekly client meetings, monthly reports, quarterly reviews, and bi‑annual business reviews.

What You’ll Bring

Proven track record of implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on‑page optimization, link building.

Analytical insight using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.

Strong communication skills—comfortable client‑facing and owning relationships with key stakeholders.

Organizational, project and time‑management skills.

Agency experience and B2B tech/SaaS experience.

Enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO and content.
