Cabinetry Sales & Design Lead

Summary:

Reporting to the Cabinetry Sales Manager, the Cabinetry Sales & Design Lead serves as the location’s subject matter expert in cabinetry sales and design. This role is responsible for delivering detailed product knowledge, innovative design solutions, and exceptional customer service while also providing day-to-day oversight of the cabinetry sales team. The Lead partners with customers to recommend products, layouts, and services that meet their needs while ensuring operational excellence and team success.

Responsibilities

Serve as the location expert in cabinetry design, providing guidance and support to customers and team members.

Create and present detailed cabinetry layouts using 20/20 Design software.

Partner with customers to recommend products, design plans, and installation services that meet budget, style, and functional needs.

Oversee and mentor location sales/design associates, ensuring strong customer service and consistent processes.

Drive sales by generating new leads, conducting consultations, and closing sales opportunities.

Maintain strong vendor relationships and coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, and order status.

Ensure timely and accurate entry of quotes, orders, and project documentation.

Track project progress and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful completion.

Monitor order fulfillment, delivery, and installation schedules to maintain customer satisfaction.

Protect company values by maintaining confidentiality of financial and project information.

Support and enforce compliance with company, state, and federal safety processes and reporting requirements.

Report any safety incidents or injuries immediately to management.

Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Previous experience using 20/20 CAD Design software.

3 years of cabinetry sales and design experience.

Proven ability to lead, coach, or mentor team members in a sales/design environment.

Strong knowledge of cabinetry products, construction, and installation processes.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and team members.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Ability to move inventory/product may be required.

Willingness to travel occasionally within Wisconsin (up to 25% of time, as required).

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
