SUMMARY:
Hachette Book Group is seeking an experienced
Marketing Manager
to join their Laurence King & Mobius team.
Reporting to the Sales Director, this individual will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing campaigns for the Laurence King and Mobius lists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with the Sales Director and Marketing Associate to use research and analytics to create, communicate, and implement marketing campaigns
Independently runs marketing campaigns for titles across the Laurence King and Mobius lists leading up to, during, and after publication
Works alongside publishing teams in both the US and UK to ensure all key stakeholders stay informed and involved in campaign strategy across list
Manages marketing budget ensuring appropriate allocation of resources, and suggests spend for campaigns
Actively participates in internal meetings, and is able to lead meetings with authors and other internal stakeholders
Ensures appropriate and measurable reporting of activity and results
Leads preparation and execution of key trade shows (notably, New York NOW)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
4+ years of progressive marketing experience
Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work and demonstrate good follow‑up and follow‑through
Strong communication skills and experience presenting in front of groups including internal meetings and with outside clients
Knowledge of Amazon Advertising Services
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with social media platforms and content‑management tools
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AdEspresso, Mailchimp, and Squarespace is a plus
Prior leadership experience is a plus
Ability to work across time zones (PST and EST) and with stakeholders across the US and UK
Mobius is a publishing division owned and operated by Hachette UK but based in the Hachette Book Group New York office.
Mobius takes the very best books from across HUK’s lists (approx. 80‑100 titles per year) and markets, publicizes, and sells them in the US and Canada.
Laurence King Publishing is one of the world’s leading publishers of books and gifts on the creative arts.
LKP titles and products are distributed in the US via Chronicle Books (approx. 100 titles/products per year).

The compensation range for this position is $70,000‑80,000.
Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location.
