Corporate Communications Specialist The

Corporate Communications Specialist

is a key member of the Communications team, responsible for supporting business and financial communications, crisis communications, and employee engagement initiatives. This role offers exposure to multiple facets of the organization and the opportunity to apply storytelling strategies to deliver impactful communications that align with our client's overall business objectives across operations, marketing, and HR.

Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Execution

Create and deliver high-quality communications across internal and external channels to meet business objectives and KPIs.

Generate creative and relevant storylines that resonate with diverse audiences.

Develop communications plans, timelines, and tools to support initiatives.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.

Track and measure progress against deliverables.

Media Relations & Issues Management

Assist with reactive media inquiries, including drafting statements, coordinating interviews, and staffing media events.

Support the Incident Response team by providing counsel to restaurants and responding to reputational issues.

Internal Communications

Serve as a primary author for internal channels such as the company intranet, newsletters, and break room monitors.

Contribute to public relations tactics and media relations strategies.

Program Support

Partner with Communications Managers and Directors to execute large-scale communications programs.

Required Technical Skills

1–3 years of experience in communications, journalism, agency, or related field.

Working knowledge of integrated communications best practices, including MS Office, Canva, Carousel, and WordPress or similar CMS.

Strong writing and editing skills (AP Style) for high-impact messaging.

Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables independently.

Comfort working with confidential information and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
