Things We Look For In Candidates

A "Swiss Army Knife" Skillset:

You are comfortable holding a cinema camera, an iPhone, and a stylus. You can shoot, edit, design, and animate.

Digital-First Thinking:

You understand that content needs to work differently on TikTok than it does on LinkedIn or in a Meta Ad. You speak the language of the algorithm.

Proactive Creativity:

You don’t wait for a creative brief. You are constantly pitching ideas, testing new formats, and looking for ways to elevate the brand.

Accountability:

You report to the Creative Director and work alongside the Social Media Manager. We need someone who hits deadlines and takes ownership of their files.

The Role

Concept & Execute:

Bring the content calendar to life. You will be shooting and editing original video content (short-form and long-form) that aligns with our premium aesthetic.

Design & Motion:

Create static graphics, thumbnails, and motion assets for social channels and digital marketing needs.

Performance Creative:

Collaborate with the marketing team to produce high-converting assets for paid media (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.).

Brand Guardianship:

Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure all output—from Instagram Stories to YouTube vlogs—maintains strict brand consistency.

Collaboration:

Assist in managing assets from external contractors and collaborate with the Social Media Manager on rollout strategies.

Trend Watch:

Stay on the cutting edge of social trends, camera gear, and editing techniques to keep The Picklr ahead of the curve.

The Person

Of the Internet:

You live on social media. You know the trends before they trend.

Content Management:

Organized and knows how to organize their output (experience with DAM a plus)

Visual Storyteller:

You know how to tell a story in 6 seconds and 6 minutes.

Technical Master:

Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Shooter:

Proficient with a variety of camera systems (Sony/Canon/Red) as well as mobile-first capture techniques.

Design Eye:

You understand typography, color, layout, and composition.

Pickleball Curious:

You don’t need to be a pro player, but you must have a passion for sport, community, and lifestyle culture.

Experience

2-4 years working in a content creation role (Agency, Brand, or Sports Team preferred).

A strong portfolio is non-negotiable. We want to see reels, static designs, and examples of storytelling.

Experience with paid media creative (creating assets specifically for conversion) is a major plus.
