Mechanical Designer

The Mechanical Designer is responsible for completing project designs and detailed drawings, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), within customer guidelines. This role requires interpreting complex engineering specifications to design components and sub‑assemblies using sound design principles and creative judgement. Designers will work collaboratively in a team environment under the guidance of the Design Manager and Lead Designer.
Responsibilities
Generate detailed drawings using Solidworks as directed by the Design Manager and Lead Designers.
Accurately and efficiently produce shop drawings.
Participate in job status meetings to ensure project alignment.
Communicate professionally with team members and managers to gather necessary information for accurate drawings.
Manage time effectively and report progress to the Design Manager and Lead Designer.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Solidworks.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, other Autodesk products, and PDM Software.
Ability to interpret complex engineering specifications.
Strong mechanical design skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent.
Experience working on sheet metal projects.
Experience in a manufacturing setting with mechanical inclination.
Experience with CAMduct, CAMmep, and/or Navisworks.
Willingness to travel once per quarter to project sites.
Work Environment The position is on‑site in Greenville with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The company uniquely handles the entire process of design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and service of industrial ventilation systems.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, WI.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $32.00/hr.
